Computer Science

(Bachelor's Programme)

Computer science deals with the basic principles, technologies and applications of information processing as they are finding their way into all areas of science, business and society. The new bachelor’s programme serves as the educational basis for the complex and extensive field of information technologies. Graduates are optimally prepared for the diverse qualification fields and are in the position to work themselves into the very different fields of information processing in no time at all.

Structure of the programme:

6 semesters, which are divided into two stages of 2 and 4 semesters.
Degree: "Bachelor of Science" (BSc)
The bachelor’s programme is the basis of the subsequent four-semester master's programme.

Requirements:

Interest in information and communication technologies, taking pleasure in systematic thinking and the solving of analytical problems, creativity, the capability to adjust quickly to innovations, and spirit of innovation.

In accordance with the breadth of content of software development, computer scientists are sought-after experts in business and industry as well as in the public sector. The spectrum of necessary qualifications spans from diverse programmer tasks to the development of state-of-the-art multi-media solutions up to dealing with new media.
